"Liberalism is a pessimistic faith because it never sees the potential in man, just his flaws. Rather than focusing on ways to free people so they can elevate themselves, liberalism instead concentrates on ways to subsidize people in their current misery.Liberalism is embarrassed by success and prosperity because independent and free people do not need liberals - above all, liberals need to be needed"(Cal Thomas).
Those words of wisdom (on a faded and yellowed 2"x2"newspaper cut out) are taped to the top door of my Kelvinator refrigerator/freezer. Also on that door are two photographs. One was taken almost 50 years ago and is of my sister and I dancing in the den. The other was taken almost 20 years ago and is of my child and I building a snowman in the backyard.
The point here is that I want to be reminded on a daily basis of the past, the present and the future. The past is my memory of my late sister. The present is the same old pledge by the same old Democratic hopefuls that nothing will change; We've got your back, slackers-just vote for us. The future is looking bright for my child(who will soon graduate from college and enter the tax paying workforce) as long as the liberals don't tax her out of existence.

Hiya LookinIn... Thanks for saying "great post and great comment" concerning words of mine a couple days ago. It helps give me fuel to keep fighting the horrible fight. In a way I wish I could just be another ignorant citizen more concerned about the goings on of Britney and American Idol than the matters that truly concern our nation. It's not often I yell out but when I do I try to put my all into it.
This post of yours is a great one, as well, and I'm glad I decided to click on over here to see it. Cal Thomas, in associating pessimism with liberalism, really hits the nail on the head. I'd throw in blind hatred, too... and so much failure to grasp truth.
Take Care!
